Our Story
In 2016, most people had no idea what CBD was or how it could benefit their wellness. I was suffering from a host of personal problems, and almost by accident, I had stumbled across Charlotte’s Web CBD Oils.
After replacing every one of my seven daily supplements with Charlotte’s Web CBD products in just 30 days, I created Savage Cabbage out of my sheer frustrations in not being able to access these high-quality hemp products in the UK. Back then, ‘cannabis’ and ‘cannabidiol’ still had so much stigma attached to it, hence the quirky and unusual name, Savage Cabbage!
Fast forward 5 years, I’m truly proud of what Savage Cabbage has become, a vehicle to support people and families around the world in what is a fundamental right; holistic wellness through natural products. We have remained true to our values since day one and have always been more than just a store, we offer a supported resource for people around the world.
We will continue to operate Savage Cabbage with the same values and principles as we did in 2016, and I will continue to lead us forward with this human-centric, mission-driven approach to make the world a better, healthier and happier place through nature.

story
The truth is that nature has always had healing powers for humans. The restorative power of nature recognises the body’s innate ability to heal itself, whether that be through beneficial hemp products or something as simple as a walk in the countryside.
We trust the earth. We believe that nature and plants have always played an important role in how we care for ourselves and one another. And they will continue to do so throughout the course of our lives and beyond.
1 Where did it begin?
In early 2016, I had reached a point in life where I needed to make a life changing decision. I had lived with the consequences of multiple life issues, lost my career and could only manage around 3 consecutive hours of time awake each day.
For years, I had tried a multitude of things to try and help me improve my wellness, but in reality, my lifestyle was becoming more and more toxic, and I found myself further away from my husband and children than ever before.
I was unable to communicate or even function effectively. I couldn’t stand or walk without support, my husband, Leslie, was my full-time caretaker, cutting up my food, helping me shower and put on clothes.
2 Breaking stigma
Leslie had always wanted me to try CBD, but I had refused due to my associated stigma with the cannabis and hemp plants. After learning about Charlotte’s Web and the Stanley Brothers, I agreed to try their CBD Oil after much deliberation, however it was impossible to source in the UK.
After being unable to source Charlotte’s Web including paying for multiple products that never arrived, I eventually received a care package from Joel Stanley, one of the founding brothers of Charlotte’s Web. Within 48 hours, I felt positivity returning in my life and within a month, I had managed to transform my daily routine with improved quality of life. However my next fear arose – how could I ensure access to this natural supplement?
3 The Birth of Savage Cabbage
Savage Cabbage was born from the desire to improve my well-being in 2016. Started with £500 of borrowed money, Leslie and I launched Savage Cabbage with the goal of meeting the needs of families and consumers around the world who truly needed access to high-quality natural hemp products like Charlotte’s Web CBD oil. The response was truly staggering. Fast forward to today and we are now serving an established customer base of over 5,000 consumers in over 44 countries around the world.
